Admission to the Ensemble and Ensemble Company is by audition only. 2017-18 Season auditions will be held by appointment in June, August, September and January (for Spring 2018). All auditions consist of a full ballet technique class with current NJDTE dancers.
Dancers accepted into NJDTE receive the highest caliber of training in ballet, modern, pointe and contemporary techniques during weekday classes with our acclaimed faculty.
Dancers accepted into the Ensemble Company receive additional training in ballet, pointe and modern during Ensemble Company technique classes on Saturdays & Sundays. These classes are followed by rehearsals for NJDTE’s full-length production of The Nutcracker in December and i Balli di Primavera, a mixed bill program of short ballet, modern and contemporary works presented each Spring.
Placement in all classes and levels, including the Summer Intensive, is at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
