Joshua Kolberg studied on scholarship with the Director of the Royal New Zealand Ballet, legendary Patricia Barker. He also received further training from Henning Albrechtsen while attending the Royal Danish Ballet School in Copenhagen. He is currently on faculty at some of New York City’s finest ballet schools including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Broadway Dance Center, Ballet Academy East, Ballet Arts at City Center, Peridance Capezio Center, and more. In addition to being a current Demi soloist at the Connecticut Ballet Company, Joshua has also danced roles within musical theatre. In 2015, Joshua toured the United States as a featured dancer and principle understudy in the National Broadway Tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Other dance credits include the Grand Rapids Ballet, Orlando Ballet, City Center Ballet, Central Florida Ballet, and Walt Disney Co. Other places of teaching that Joshua has taught ballet include: Ballet Tech, Northwest Florida State College, Columbia Ballet Collaborative, Lebanon Ballet School, West Michigan Youth Ballet, New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble, and more. Joshua is also a certified teacher under the American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum.
