New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble provides the highest quality, pre-professional training to aspiring dancers from New Jersey through professional experiences with world-renowned dancers, teachers, choreographers, and musicians.  Founded in 1969, and under the artistic direction of master teacher and choreographer Nancy Turano since 1994, the Ensemble fosters advanced ballet, modern, and contemporary dance programs for dancers ages 5-23 throughout New Jersey and the New York City Metro Area.  NJDTE mentors dancers toward higher education and professionalism in dance and provides its alumni with employment opportunities as NJDTE staff members and guest artists.

NJDTE annually premieres new works and maintains a diverse repertory by renowned choreographers including Twyla Tharp, David Parsons, Robert Battle, Sidra Bell, Cherice Barton, Loni Landon, Adam Barruch, Jean Emile, Belinda McGuire, Andrea Miller, Kate Skarpetowska, Bradley Shelver, and Nancy Turano.
